Retake is a flagship LTX feature that lets users select any region of a video and reimagine it without regenerating the entire shot. When it came from research, it had no name, clear purpose, or defined boundaries. I was a key part of the effort to turn it into a product. I identified and structured its core use cases from shot fixing and compositing to VFX edits, direction changes, and camera adjustments, then systematically benchmarked each one to understand where the feature delivers value. Through hands-on testing, I compared generation parameters, refined the system prompt, and documented what worked and what didn’t.
